...And That Was The Emmys!
Everyone gets up and leaves The Emmys!
Thanks again to everybody who followed along with our awesome Team Coco Liveblogging event yesterday! We had a blast doing it, and I hope it provided some insight into what it's like to attend the Emmys when you're just a civilian! A big congrats again to our pals at The Daily Show for their win this year - both them and The Colbert Report have been doing great shows, and we couldn't be happier that they took home the trophy! My favorite moment of the night had to be Ricky Gervais; that guy continues to be absolutely brilliant. Holy Moses! So, SO funny. You could barely hear what he was saying because the room was laughing so hard! It was also really fun to see all the celebs jump up and run over and talk to one another during the commercial breaks - and it's always fun to play dress up and go out somewhere nice with your friends, so that was cool too. A bunch of us went out to a bar afterwards, and talked the whole thing over; who saw what celebs, who has the nicest looking dress, etc. We were our own little Access Hollywood wrap up show! I played the part of Joan Rivers. ;)
All in all The Emmys were really fun, but we were sitting so far back up in the balcony, we couldn't really even tell who was onstage most of the time - so a lot of it ended up feeling like a high school assembly, in a weird way. (It didn't help that Chillemi kept giving me all those wedgies).
We've got a lot of stuff planned for this week - including a big surprise tomorrow morning - so buckle up, y'all! THINGS ARE GONNA GET CRRRRRRAZY!

SO awesome! I love Ricky. It was really hard to tell from inside what it looked like on TV - I enjoyed the opening number!
Ricky was awesome... The Emmy's were kinda crappy though. I'm glad you had a fun time with your friends... I can't wait until tomorrow... I'm even waking up early so I don't miss a second of the awesomesauce you are bringing....

Pooray for Hollywood! Thank you to you, Chill, Roey and Hardy for keeping us in the loop-de-loop last night. The opening of the show, Ricky’s speech, the video montage of your nominated category and Fallon & Selleck’s father/son moment were probably the highlights in my opinion. I know that the Daily Show has putin a lot of hard work to win that Emmy but I still think you guys should have won it for you all had put in just has much or more into working for the Tonight Show. Whatever, at least you won our hearts. :P
So what are you going to do with your $95 suit? Wear it to Del Taco for some fine dining?

I will have to wait to see it until I get home from classes and work - but hey, that's when I've always watched Conan, so this will be just like it used to be! Hoping this surprise is revealing the show name but that's just me. Trying to justify that train of thought in my mind because then, on Wednesday, the show can start being promoted heavily on-air.

I think Gary is jealous of your Emmy escapades. Anyway, wanted to tell you that the liveblogging was fun, but I'm bummed (but over it) that Conan didn't win. That would have been a fun TV moment, I'm sure.
This seemed like the final note of his Tonight Show-hard to explain, but it felt like such a finality. Not that I'm sad about that, because November will be here sooner than we know it (and the show starts Nov 9, so *early* November).
Hmm, hoping that tomorrow's secret is the show's name. It's so great to have this blog and your blog, Aaron.

The Tonight Show nominee clip was hilarious, and it was great to see those highlights. I'm glad everyone got to see the variety and fun of Conan's Tonight Show. (And I'm so glad that Ricky Gervais was the presenter for the category!)

Haha! Sounds like your seats at the Emmys were similar to the seats Hubs' and I had at the "Legally Prohibited" show in McCaw Hall in Seattle. If it hadn't been for the big screen, I may not have believed it was Conan way down there on the stage - however, I would have known it was you in the bear costume from a mile away because you have such amazing technique!
I have the feeling that your big suprise will be the new name of Conans' new show. Could it be because his contract of Legally Prohibited from Being Funny on Television is up? Will Conan hold a 1 hour press conference for his annoucement? ;D
