Peeking Inside The Birdhouse!
We kicked off our final day in San Francisco with a visit to some recent good friends of ours... The folks at Twitter!
Twitter has obviously been a big part of this tour (and our lives), so I was super excited to visit their headquarters and meet everybody that I've been emailing back and forth with for the past year or so!! The Twitter peeps didn't disappoint, either - they were extremely welcoming and gracious, and we had an awesome time. Thanks, Twitter!
So what did we do there? Well, first Conan talked a little bit about losing The Tonight Show, what Twitter has meant to the newest chapter of his career, Twitter Tracker, why he only tweets once a day, how Tweeting can actually help comedy writing, and how great it is to be able to deepen the connection with his fans (aka you guys) by using the internet!! SO COOL:

Seriously, I think Conan is the nicest person on the planet...Mother Theresa ain't got nothin' on him!
I think that's why he has such a loyal fanbase, he appreciates his fans and his kind, and of course he's awesome...and so are you! Thanks for blogging throughout the tour and making us feel like we're an integral part of it.
We are glad to have the connection to Conan. I'm happy he joined Twitter and finally embraced the interwebs. I bet Conan will have some fresh material for the new TBS show based on his Tweets.
Why DOES he only tweet once a day? Not complaining, just curious-

The fans, by the way, are awfully glad that people on Team Conan - including you and Conan - use Twitter to keep in touch with us. We really are a pretty deep, caring fan base. :)

I forgot to add that every time I go back and listen to the last Late Night podcast with Conan, it makes me laugh whenever he asks what Twitter is. Oh, Conan from the past...if only you knew what was ahead of you. ;)
I can't explain in words how much I truly love the fact that Conan is embracing the internet. The importance of social media is something I feel very passionately about and I definitely don't think I would feel as connected to the show without all the tweeting and blogging. I wouldn't even know you, Bley! How sad would that be??

Twitter has been a real life-saver, well at least mood-saver, since Conan left the air. Not only being able to get a little Conan sunshine delivered to me each day, but to be able to keep up with others from the LN/TTs family like Cronin, Comers, Levin, etc. And now that half the band is on too it's like being able to keep up with the whole family. Hope tonight's show goes just as great as last night's. Thanks Bley!
Yes meeting Conan, shaking his hand, taking a pic of him and getting his autograph (although the quickest I've ever seen) has been a lifetime achivement right with my working for the dumbest retailer in the world (walmart)!

Bley, as I've commented to you before, Conan is the reason I joined twitter. I'm glad to know that the feeling of being connected is mutual. As so many have said, this blog and the tweets from Conan, you,members of the band, etc. really are wonderful little gems that we receive each day. I appreciate them so much.
Would you mind elaborating a little more about Conan talked about? Like his reasons for tweeting once a day and how tweeting helps comedy writing. I wish I was a fly on the wall there. It looks like it was a lot of fun :)

I look forward to Conan's tweet everyday. It's always brings a smile to my face. Reading everyone from the tour's tweets make me feel like I'm on the road with you guys. It keeps me up to date with everything you guys have been doing. Keep up the good work!
It's so great that we have this kind of technology in the world. Like others have commented, things like Twitter let us fans really feel connected to everything that's going on with the tour, new show, etc. You, Bley, have also played a huge role in connecting us to all this excitement with the blog and your tweets. I hope you know how much I appreciate it.

I don’t think I’m alone in saying that this new web presence (and all the cool new media tentacles that have grown outwards since the strike stuff) has been nothing short of brilliant. It seems to have been particularly effective in, as you say, deepening connections with fans and strengthening that loyalty, rather than branching out into untapped audiences.
So to draw an unfortunate and probably inappropriate parallel, that makes you Karl Rove. 2004 election. You’re firing up the base to great effect!

So... wow... these pictures just make me so excited, which sounds dirty and like you should have me arrested, but that's not what I mean at all. I just feel like something big is coming. Or just... like... the tape has been taken off Conan's mouth. I feel liberated on behalf of him, because I was so f*cking PISSED.
