I know I sound like a broken record, but last night's crowd was fantastic! I know I sound like a broken record, but last night's crowd was fantastic! (See what I did there?) Anyway, it WAS. Thanks for a great time, Uncasville!
Yesterday was our last show in a casino, so Crotteau, Cronick, Fitz, and I all hit the tables! The bus call was at 1:30am, and we only had an hour, so we were a bit nervous. I mean, whenever you're headed out after the show, you want to do everything in your power to not miss the bus. Why? Because if you don't make bus call, then you get "Oil Stained" - because when you get back to where the bus should be, all that's left is an oil stain! Say it with me kids: OOOOOOH SNAPZ.
So anyway, wary of getting oil stained, we all go into the casino... And as we do we're going through all these doors - doors that look like they might lock behind us. Luckily, there's a security guard there who assures us that she'll be there the whole night. We breath a sigh of relief.
We do a little gambling, we all win a little money, and give ourselves a good 20 mins to get back. But here's the problem: The security guard ISN'T THERE. Shocker. And ALL THE DOORS ARE LOCKED. Nightmare! I like to call this next part of the night "PANICKED RUNNING THROUGH DOORS AND OFFICES BACKSTAGE AT MOHEGAN SUN". I saw places and things in those 17 minutes of frantic running around that I can't even describe. It was crazy. Finally, we tear through this door and come out in like the top tier of the empty arena... So we run down to the bottom floor, ask some dudes who were cleaning up where the load out dock is, and made it to the bus with exactly one minutes to spare!! SO CRAZY. I felt like it was at the end of an action movie and we were on the run from some assassins or something! But then again, I feel that way a lot.
Today we're in Upper Darby, PA - and it's actually kind of a bad neighborhood that we're in! Everyone's talking about shootings that happened this week or last week, and they've told us not to wander around after dark! Ha ha. Oh Philly. You have my heart.
We've got a GREAT show tonight... And you never know who's gonna show up! We'll talk post show. PEACE OUT!
