The Last Bus Ride.

By aaron bleyaert on

For the past two months, I've been wearing a tour schedule around my neck... So the fact that the tour is coming to a close should be no surprise.  But it is, friends.  It is.  As we journey the bumpy road from Manchester Tennessee to Atlanta Georgia for our last show, I'm suddenly realizing that this is the last night that I'll be sleeping on the bus!  Crazy.  It's been a great ride; this bus has become one of us - a road buddy, there to comfort you in the long, dark nights when everyone else has gone to sleep.  Our Bus Driver Melvin has done an absolutely fantastic job getting us where we needed to be safely and quickly, and as I sit here in the back lounge of Crew Bus #2 typing this, I can't tell you how weird it is to think of traveling any other way for the rest of my life. I started out this tour thinking "Oh my god.  I'm going to have to live on a BUS for the next two and a half months?!"  to thinking "Oh my god.  I only have ONE MORE NIGHT where I can sleep on the bus?!?"  Seriously.  It's been a 180. degree shift; I sleep AMAZING on the bus these days! When I get back to LA, I'm going to have to hire a bunch of dudes to come in and gently shake my bed while I'm sleeping so that I can still catch my 40 winks a night!

In honor of our last night on the bus, we thought it appropriate to make a little video!  I hope you like it.  We ran into an old friend at Bonnaroo, and offered to give him a ride to Atlanta.

I'm off to my little bus coffin for the last time.  See you guys tomorrow.
