Washington D"C" you later! (Get it? GET IT?)
Our show in Washington DC is complete, and we had a super fun time - although I must say, this was one of our most "yelly" crowds to date! Everyone kept yelling stuff out the whole night! It wasn't BAD necessarily (no one was belligerent or mean), but it was definitely noticeable. I guess the folks in DC are just used to having a vote and making themselves heard!
The building we were in tonight - Constitution Hall - was absolutely stunning. It was built in 1929, but had just been renovated fairly recently, so it was like performing inside of a piece of eye candy! For instance, here's Skip, our master of all things video - sitting out in the hall working at his console during the show:

You can really get a sense of how old and cool the building was that we were in. Cool stuff.
SPEAKING of cool, our awesome LED Tech and Camera Operator Tom Braislin made ANOTHER sweet time lapse video of when we were at Mohegan Sun Arena the day before last! If you'll remember, we had to load in SUPER late, because there was a WNBA game going on beforehand... And Tom captured it all - from the beginning of the WNBA game, through our WHOLE SHOW, to load out! So I'm telling you all right now: SPOILER ALERT. It's fast, but there are definitely spoilers to be seen in this video. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.
Ready? Let's do it:
How awesome is that?!? My favorite parts are when everyone stands up for the pledge of alliagence, and when the whole crew puts togehter the stage and then walks it forward! What's YOUR favorite part? ;) Anyway, another big thanks to Tom for another great video! You the man, baby. You the man. Right now, we're speeding towards Nashville, and it's late - so it's time to hit it and quit it! See y'all tomorrow!

Had to see a men’s doctor today. Why? Let’s just say "Newt is no longer surging in the polls."

haha, this is fun!! my fav parts are when the game is over, the floor is taken away, piece by piece, its like a big puzzle, and the time when the bat is inflated and deflated at rehearsal, and the animated Conan logo on the screen, that moving very fast hehe!!
great pic! so regal! its so cool that you guys are getting to perform at such venues!
Sweet video. My favorite part was watching the crew set up the seats on the floor and then watching everybody coming in to see the show! Also, Constitution Hall looks beautiful!
I'm impressed that everyone was able to set up so quickly after the game ended, but I guess it's down to a science now, huh? Awesome video! Tom's pretty good with this time lapse business. :)
I can't believe the tour is almost over! What will we do now that there will be no hashtags to keep up with all summer?! D=
Aaron Scott Bleyaert!!
Haha, what all did they yell?
And I loooove these time lapse videos!! My favorite part was probably when they all walked the stage forward, or when Reggie went on and all you could see was the spotlight on him. :P
Take care everyone!!(:
♥, Courtney
...enjoyed the short stay in DC. I'm so glad and thankful you made it one of your stops. Enjoy the last few days on the tour. THANK YOU SO MUCH! <br />
I honestly don't know what to write that could possibly convey my feelings about last night's show in DC. My anticipation for the show was extremely high, to say the least. I don't know if anyone else can relate to how I felt, but I was one big anxious, nervous and excited mess! Needless to say, I was not disappointed. The show kicked ass and the band totally rocked! It seemed to just fly by! It ended way to soon and, I'm not gonna lie, I got a little emotional. I didn't want it to be over.
I'm sorry to say that I didn't get to see you at all Bley. I was really hoping I'd get to meet you. However, I did get to take a picture with Andy and get his and Conan's autograph. I guess I could have tried to take a picture with Conan too (like every other person who was out there) but instead I just froze and couldn't do anything but say 'thank you' when he signed my "In the Year 2000" book. It remains my goal in life to get a picture with him :)
I hope everyone on the tour e
Cool vid, Bley!
You're totally right, drunk people do yell a lot. Except I was totally sober and screaming my head off, so I guess I'm the exception!
WOW, that IS a beautiful building! Fancy Schmancy! :)
Again, AWESOME video -- thanks, Tom!!! :) I think my favorite part is the bat at rehearsal, hahaha. But also I love watching things being put together and taken apart at that speed, like the bleachers, the floor, the stage, the seats... so cool. :)
I had a blast last night. However, I was sad that I couldn't buy anything since I didn't have cash. Is there a place to buy merch? Especially the shirts. :(
oh you know you all loved it when the guy screamed "**** jay leno" right as the words anger went up on the screen hahaha. The show was awesome and the weather was great, that day is going down as the best day of my summer.
oh and ps- DC doesn't have voting rights, they only have 3 electoral votes and a delegate in the House (that can't vote on important matters). we are just naturally loud ppl, its the only way we can hear each other over the bull**** the politicians spit out on a regular basis, ha.
I loved the show! I can't imagine how tired all of you are! The video that Tom made(which was done so amazingly well) def shows how much work you guys put into the show. The whole crew makes it possible for us fans to really enjoy the show, so...THANKS!
Just like Nawal said so nicely, I also cannot and could not express I felt about the show last night in DC. I just couldn't believe that someone that admire and love so much was in my city and that i got to see him!! It was beyond cool, amazing and kick ass!! Haha. The best way to really sum up how I felt was when Conan came out and was signing stuff for us. Once he got right in-front of me, I went speechless and the tears started to pour out of my eyes! Geeeeez Anna! Haha I couldn't hold it together for those 60seconds?! Then he asked me, "Are you ok?" I nodded and said yes through my tears of joy. Then he asked me what my name was and I (still pushing through the tears) said "Anna". THEN, he gave me a HUG!! Yes! Whooop whooop! Gigg
Not sure why my first comment never showed but pretty much I felt it was an amazing show and well worth the 5 hour drive from North Carolina to see it.
The show was incredible! I never thought I would be able to see Conan do a show in person, and from the Masturbating Bear to the Walker Texas Ranger Lever, this one was above and beyond what I expected. Hanged around outside after the show and was lucky enough to get Andy and Conan's autograph on the tour poster I bought. Very nice guys to take the time and sign things for those of us who stayed around!
Truly and incredible night.
