Backlot Music: Dawes "All Your Favorite Bands"

Team Coco's Backlot Music features some of our favorite artists performing at iconic locations on the Warner Brothers backlot. Think of it as your all-access pass to WB Studios in Burbank.

Watch Dawes perform the title track from their album All Your Favorite Bands on Hennesy Street on the world-famous Warner Bros. backlot.

Location: Hennesy Street

Used to double New York City, Chicago, Washington, D.C., & Gotham City

"Annie" (1982)

Hennesy Street was named after Dale Hennesy who designed the production of "Annie" in 1982. Hennesy Street is the only street in the industry to be named after the designer who originally conceived it rather than after the film that it was built for. "Hard Knock Life," one of the most iconic songs from "Annie" was filmed on the fire escape on Hennesy Street.

"Minority Report" (2002)

The fire escape was also used by Tom Cruise in "Minority Report," though for a change, Tom was trying to escape upwards.

"Newsies" (1992)

Before he was Batman, Christian Bale sang "Sante Fe" from "Newsies," up and down Hennesy Street, transformed into a turn-of-the-century New York street.

"National Lampoon's Vacation" (1983)

Hennesy Street also doubled for East St. Louis in "National Lampoon's Vacation." Roll 'em up, kids!

"Spider-Man" (2002)

Hennesy Street was used as a backdrop for the famous upside down kiss between Tobey Maguire & Kirsten Dunst in "Spider-Man."
