Internet Ghost Towns: Invisibility, Space Jam And More!

Internet Ghost Town

The Internet has been around for a long time, and while some websites have thrived and grown with the times, others have fallen by the wayside. So we've compiled a bunch of these Internet Ghost Towns to pay our respects to the fallen/useless and hopefully learn from our mistakes. These sites may be long forgotten by their owners, but maybe with a slight surge in traffic, we can revive them and get them to join the modern age. If you have an Internet Ghost Town you'd like to share with us, be sure to post it in the comments.

InvisibilityThe Secret of Invisibility
This website sells a book that contains the ancient secret to becoming invisible for the low, low price of $34.95. Don't worry, if you're not happy with the results you can return the book within 30 days for a full refund (minus a $12.95 restocking fee). IMPORTANT NOTE: The power of invisibility is to be used for MORAL PURPOSES ONLY! They make that very clear on the front page, pervert.. Also, if invisibility isn't enough, they'll throw in a bonus animal wizardry book with instructions on how to control flocks of birds with your mind and get your cat to use the toilet. Sounds good, right? [TheSecretofInvisibility.com]

Greg Vail SaxophoneSaxophonist Greg Vail
This site may not be pretty, but to Greg's credit, it's still pretty functional. Right when you get to the page, you're greeted by a smooth jazz beat and some sexy, sexy saxophone. Lovers, it could be smart to bookmark this page just in case you and your partner suddenly get in the mood and you need a lovemaking soundtrack at a moment's notice. Things could get awkward when one of Greg's many Christmas songs come up on the playlist, but I say weave it into the rug. The website includes a show calender section. While the calender may not list any shows, it does serve as a functional calender. So touche, Greg! [GregVail.com]

Space JameThe Space Jam Website
Space Jam may have been released in theaters over a decade ago, but the website still stands proudly. This one was submitted by multiple fans, and we owe each and every one of you a thank you because now we can download and watch the Space Jam trailer, spruce up our desktop with a seizure inducing screen saver or educate ourselves with some b-ball tips. Michael Jordan may be retired, but he shall remain immortal thanks to the Space Jam Website.

Once again, if you know of any Internet Ghost Towns, please leave them in the comments below. Together, we can shine a light on these abandoned websites and honor them with an unexpected surge of traffic that just might get them on their feet again, or crash their flimsy servers.
