This thing was like a glass coaster you put a drink on, heavy and about a half inch thick, and it hurt. No one except prop guy Nick Emilio noticed it, and we continued the show as if nothing happened. The next day I show up and my podium is wrapped in yellow tape marked "hardhat area only." I was lucky the thing didn't shatter into my skull, it just left a bruise. I've been told I'm hardheaded and this just confirmed it. I still have the gel as a souvenir. I use it as a drink coaster!

MORE MIKE MERRITT:

Web Site: mikemerritt.com

Twitter: @forestringer

Facebook: Friend Mike!
